A Note from the Doctor

Keep Your Heart Healthy

Do you really believe that the way you live your life affects your chances of heart disease?

Well, the Nurses Health Study followed more than 80,000 women over 14 years. Researchers found that the women who did not smoke, were not overweight (BMI <25), practiced at least moderate exercise (including brisk walking) 30 minutes most days of the week, maintained a healthy diet, and consumed alcohol moderately had an 80% lower risk of heart disease.

This is just a reminder that it’s how we live our lives EACH DAY that counts.
